Shoes

Went to Target and bought stuff for my apartment and new shoes! Much needed trip :) I ran into the lovely Kaitlyn Campbell! I ran to the bank, worked out and packed for my stuff for my much anticipated trip to Grand Valley with the girls! When Erika and Kc came to pick me up we ate pizza in my backyard and I played on the trampoline with Grace and Jade. Nice start to an awesome weekend :)

Tigers vs. White Sox

Dadio got tickets from work to take Karla, Claire and I to the Tigers game! My own father was shocked to know that I had never been to a Tigers game haha. I have ALWAYS wanted to go to one, so I am glad I finally got to go! Our seats were pretty awesome. I have to admit I am not a huge baseball fan but it was still fun of course =)

This little girl in front of us was so cute! She saw my camera and asked if I would take a picture of her. As if I could say no!? She put her hands up to the screen when I showed her the picture and she said, "those are my hands!" ahahaaha.

We walked around for a bit and I insisted on eating the cliche ballpark hot dog. My dad bought it for me out of guilt for never taking me to a game I am pretty sure, hehehe. It was really good, but I think maybe just because I was really hungry? Never again will I need to purchase that expensive of a hot dog because I have experienced it at least one haha. The Tigers were losing pretty early so we left in the 8th inning and went to the river walk which turned out to be closed.  Bum. Then we explored the Renaissance Center- very cool!

 in other words "until next time," because hopefully I will be seeing Babsi again soon! (I don't know German, so French will have to do). Her stay here went by all too fast.  :'( Allie drove her to the airport with Kp, Laura and I.

Kp made smoothies for Al and I, which were delish :) Later that night, my mommy and I stayed up to watch the news to see the result of the primary elections. The Oakland County Parks millage passed! Yayyyyyy! I did not do my research about who is running for governor, but I will do my best before November :)

Outback

[Mon]
Another pretty crazy day at work! There were 3 saves in less than an hour and 6 total. I had lots of running around and chaos to deal with.
After work, Kp, Al, Erika, Kc, Babs and I met at Outback Steakhouse to celebrate Babsi's last night here. Allie was not a huge fan of the cliche Australian stuff which I got a kick out of :P Our waiter was super funny too. Poor Kp got a hair in her burger! The restaurant was super good about it though and gave her a new one for free. Kc and Erika had to work the next day so they had to say bye. So sad!

Love at First Bite

Saturday = all staff inservice. It was a long day, even though I got to go home at 6:30. I just took a nap till almost 9!

Sunday- Work all day again. It was exciting because I got to deal with my first almost emergency :) We gave a girl O2 at raft top and I kept her occupied until EMS arrived. Poor girl- but it was exciting for moi. Work was pretty crazy that day! I was super busy all day, which made the time go by fast.

After work I drove to go see Allie who is home from Aussi!! It was good to see her and Babs. She fed me dinner and then KC and Erika came over and Bari took us all out to ice cream in Birmingham. Lovely night!

Old favorites :)

Thursday was another day of work all day. I stayed late to guard the Stay and Play which was fun, even though I didn't swim or anything. The night before, I had found an old CD in my closet that said "favorites 06" so I listened to that on my way home. Listening to old music brings back such good memories! It was a CD I made to listen to at work, when I started at the Mott Pool my junior year of high school. Oh what a year... I totally forgot my favorite song used to be "Boston," by Augustana, but a different version than was played on the radio.Funny thing is that after I listened to my old favorite song I watched Boston Med with my mom. Coincidence? Also I was Carrie Underwood obsessed! Here are youtube videos of my two favorites from the CD :)

Friday I babysat Jared's cousins Lexi and Kyle for a couple hours. Lexi showed me some of her cheer videos and we did gymnastics in her front yard. Boy has it been a while! At least I can still do a back handspring lol. Then we went swimming in the pool, which was very nice :)
At home I found an old sweater/shirt of my moms from when she was my age and claimed it as my own. Love it! I painted my nails and took care of some business with school next year and my job. I finally have got everything in line as far as training dates, paper work, etc. Such a relief! Here is a picture of me trying to figure out how to use self-timer (didn't work so well the first time)

I slept the majority of the day because I was not feeling well :(  I did no to the Michigan Animal Rescue League with my mom and Claire to drop off dog food. It was weird being there because I was remembering going there when we got Lewis as a puppy! We looked at all the animals just for fun. I fell in love with this one cat who was begging for me to hold him. He kept licking my fingers! I want a cat at school sooo bad, but if I already haven't said so, I think it is mean to keep a cat in an apartment. I sadly had to put him back. His name was Puffy lol.     (I have a list of way better cat names already in my head)

work work work

Monday and Tuesday were pretty much the same day- work all day! I am failing at trying to find one thing that makes me happy every day. Work is not bad- I just go on auto pilot and forget everything that has happened by the end of the day. Oops...
Well Tuesday night I had a pleasant surprise of Grace and Karla coming over. I rarely see just Grace by herself. I feel bad for kids that are not 1st born because no matter what, they are overshadowed by their siblings. I need to work harder to give her more attention, because I don't realize that she does have a lot of personality that I never get to see when Jade is around!
We wrestled a bit and read some books. She loved Curious George. She says George like "Jor?" It is soo cute!I think 2 yrs old is the best age ever. Maybe not for parents, but at least for an Aunt. I get to see her adorableness and when she gets "terrible," I can hand her back :D hehehehe.
Im just kidding. Poor baby has been getting hives though- that is why her eye is sort of red and poofy :(

oh P.S. I forgot about this little guy :P He was eating in my front yard before I left for work. Is he not the cutest thing ever? ahahaha

 

Spontaneity

One thing that makes me really happy is being spontaneous- and Sunday, I did just that :)
(planned things=expectations=dissapointment!)

 Kaitlyn Campbell and I went running at Mott, the gym was closed, so we did the track. We decided to go to Qdoba after looking at her new car, which is adorable by the way! We drove around Orchard Lake- and just driving alone, makes me happy :D

We then headed over to Erika's and put on our bathing suits to lay in the afternoon sun. Greg and Petey randomly stopped by on jetski's and took us on a ride around the lake.So fun! Kaitlyn and I flew off the back at one point- which I was okay with because the lake was not cold at all. If I lived on the lake, I would be out there everyday!

Later we met up with Hunter and Christian and went to Starbucks and to see Inception (again lol). I needed to see it again because I fell asleep during part of it! It made much more sense the 2nd time around- I really love that movie! I took a pic of our matching Passion Fruit tea on Erika's phone, but the picture never sent to me. I'll have to post it later. Anywho- very fun day =) !!!

Dance Dance

I was in the silliest mood after in service! It was fun watching everyone do the team bonding game I put together, and then we did deep water spinals in the rain. Fun fun. No one showed up to the park  for a long time so we all goofed around for a bit and got to do busy work. I went home early- around 12ish, which was so nice! I took a nice loooong nap.


My parents left to go to a wedding in Traverse City so Claire and I took advantage of the nice empty house. We had a DDR competiton which was toooo funny! I am pretty terrible at that game, which mad it all the more entertaining. We decided to change it to work out mode- and went until we hit 2 miles. I was dying!

Afterward we watched Shutter Island. Very odd movie.... I did not like the ending very much, but I suppose it was still entertaining. Earlier in the night I took pictures of the pretty sunset :)
