When we went back out we were so hot we both jumped in. The lake bottom has a lot of clay so our feet were sinking and that freaked me out a bit. I also had a fear of crayfish! I am a big baby when it comes to unknown things being near my feet.... I was so hot later that I went back in by myself. I floated out to where there was no clay and swam around and played like a child. Haha. I begged Kaitlin so finally we got the two person kyak and took it out to deep water and jumped in. It felt so good! My love for swimming in lakes slightly over throws my huge fear of them. Very odd, I know. Being in there reminded me of when Kaitlin and I were little kids and dreamed of having a boat because all we wanted to do was explore her lake. I look back and feel very fortunate because some people will never appreciate things like that as much as we do!
I am very brave for putting a picture of my very-white-self up, next to the ultra-dark-Kaitlin. Hahaha. I did end up pretty sunburned, despite my efforts with lots of sunscreen. Kaitlin's aunt bought fried white fish for dinner from a local place, it was awesome! Yum yum yum. ( I say that every time haha). Then Kaitlin and I built a fire. I said to her, "Rich kids went to dumb sports camps. We went to Girl Scouts!" At least we can get a good laugh from it, and we picked up some nifty skills! It was darn good fire. (I am trying to stay cuss free :D ).Our smore's were a success!
